After driving 15 - 30 minutes at 65-70 MPH on the highway the engine will miss several times a minute.
You can tell the engine misses because you can feel
it cut out. I replaced the spark plugs, PCV valve,
air filter, and fuel filter but still have the same symptoms. About 5 years ago this same problem occurred and I took it to the dealer and they said it
was an electronic part causing the problem, however I cannot remember the part they replaced. Any ideas.

Two things, did you change the plug wires? And is the service engine light on? What size in liters is the engine?

1) The Spark Plug wires have never been replaced.
2) The engine is a 5.7L engine.
3) The engine light comes on, only when the
engine gets hot. When you start the car the
next day it is off until engine is warmed up.
