1995 GMC Sierra broken threads

i wouldnt attempt it, replace the hose and prevent the rigging.

fix it the right way so it lasts.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't understand.
I'm trying to install a new heater hose fitting, but because of the damage to the manifold's threads, it won't seal up watertight, even with lots of pipe dope. What kind of thread sealant will plug a small saw cut in the threads and withstand the water's heat and pressure?

you can try some pipe cemen and put the hose on and you can use a hoseclamp also to try and tighten it down more.

or you can just replace the broken part.

For anyone who may have actually understood my question, the problem has been solved. After re-tapping the threads in the intake manifold, I used plenty of JB Weld as a thread sealant, and the new quick disconnect leading to the heater core is now watertight.
