1991 GMC Safari 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130.000 miles

1 day I was driving and my speedometer stopped and also my a/c and power windows. Everything else works fine also I noticed the engine idles rough. I checked the fuse box but found no blown fuses. I also checked the fusiable link to the firewall going from under the hood to the fuse panel seems like there is no voltage going threw the fuses controlling power windows or a/c. The 4 fuseable links readed short so I know they are fine im shure there is mabe 1 im missing I have the chiltions book for the vehicle but still stumped on why it just died like that assuming theres a shorted wire somewhere any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

Sounds like you have several problems not just one. Power Windows. Does the driver side still work? If so the power to the passenger side is routed through the driver side switch. When both people start to roll up or down their windows at the same time this is to much power for that one switch to hold so the switch itself will go bad. I have also had to have the motors on both doors replaced.

Rough Idle sounds like the Fule Pressure Regulator has gone bad. Are you getting poor gas milage? 17 MPG means that this is probably the issue. Bad news is that this is found on the inside of the intake manafold.

A/C not working. Does the Compressor actually turn on? If not it means that you have had a serious leak in the system and probably the compressor itself needs to be replaced.

I have had all this work done to my 1995 Safari.
