What trucks would a 28 spline axle come out of to fit this truck?

If you are refering to changing the whole axle, another S-15 would fit fine. That is a 7 & 1/2" axle that was used in camaros, s-trucks, late caprices, etc. Just fix the bearings. Those all had axle problems as they were to soft.
