Head gasket replacement

Hey guys! I need some advice. I have sent my 1996 oldsmobile silhouette v-6, EFI, to be have the head gasket replaced. I talked to the guy this evening and he tells me that he has figured out that he cannot do it, because he does not have a lift, in order to get under the van and take out the motor. He is able to get one head off but not the other, without taking the motor out, and he says that he can't get the motor out unless he goes from the bottom. Since he doesn't have a lift, he can't do it. Is there anyway he can go from the top? He says that if he does try and remove it from the top, it will do some serious damage to other things.

Thank you,

Thouroughly annoyed.

You should be annoyed. I have done the job from inside the vehicle. You simply have to remove a lot of things to get to the head. It sounds like he doesn't want to do the job or underestimated it. Good luck
