EGR valve

I have a 1999 chevy 1/2 ton pickup 140k mileage. It will begin to run rough and will even die after it has run 60 miles or more. Only does it when the temp outside is above 85 degrees.

Yes but does the word Vortec appear anywhere on the engine or air cleaner.

Go back to basics and pull the plugs. If they look black or corroded, change them.

Look at you plugs wires and see if they have any white spots That area is a spark leak. Change the fuel and air filter.

Do you have a distributer or coil pack?
