I've noticed that my alternator has been shaking in excess. The bracket that holds the alternator on broke. It seems to me that this bracket holds both the alternator and the power steering pump. The way my serpentine drive system is set up is the alternator is on the top right and the power steering pump is underneath. Unfotrunately my SUV is not at home so I havent been able to dig deeper into this personally. Is this in fact one bracket that holds both to the block?

Sweet I had my SUV towed to my house and I answered my own question. "YES" it is. I took the upper and lower fan shroud off. The fan. And Alternator. To find the top right ear was broken with the bolt still in the block. The left bolt had the head broken off with the stud still in the block. This will be fun. The bottom didn't even have a bolt in it. When I pulled everything out I found the junk yard yellow mark on the block. I think the truck was previously in an accident. When it was repaired they put a used motor in and put the serpentine system back in, left a bolt out and the bracket was cracked. Over time the vibration got worse snapping the top left bolt off in the block and braking the top right ear off of the bracket.
