1999 GMC Jimmy intake gasket replace

I have a 1999 jimmy and had to change my intake gasket because it was leaking coolent into my oil put it all back together and did not mark rotor and thing timing is out cant get it to start aany ideas

Remove spark plug No. 1. Place finger over cylinder No. 1 spark plug hole. Crank engine slowly until compression is felt. Align timing mark on pulley to "0" on engine timing indicator. Ensure rotor points to cylinder No. 1 spark plug tower on distributor cap
