Recently replaced the AC condenser with a new one and now have seen white smoke coming in when the blower is on and there is a strong smell of antifreeze. At first, I suspected the heater coil may be going but there is no leaking of antifreeze in the interior. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Good ol antifreeze smell, that is usually a sign of a bad heater core as you have suspected.

There will not always be antifreeze on the interior.

The box it is in is sealed pretty tight, and if it leaks only when pressure is applied to the core, it will evaporate off before it accumulates and drips.
