My air blows threw all the vents. ( Front vents, windsheild vents and floor.) Most of the air comes out threw the dash vents. When turning the controll knob, it doesn not change to desired setting. I know that the system works on vacum. Any ideas. Also when I place a therometer in the vent, its at 60 degrees on the 3rd fan speed. Should be blowing to about 40-45 degrees. I also put a guage on the system under the hood. Reads about 65 so it has just about what it calls for. Do ypou think I may need to put in something to chill it up a bit. Thanks for any ideas. Jay. Definitely not. You may already have too much much you may also have a cooling fan, compressor or Condenser problem because that pressure is too high. The first step here is to totally evacuate and recharge the system with the exact amount of refrigerant required and then see what the pressures are for both high and low side. A/C repairs are really not a DIY type job and this single gauge "death kits" should be outlawed because they do a lot more damage than good.
