Helle my name is danny and I have a 1988 GMC jimmy its a 4.3 litter v6 and I bought the car and it ran great till I got it home. So what happens is it when it run it runs great when its in park but ounce I put it in drive it dies and I have already replaced the port injection system and the throttle body and the gas line and its not the problem and I just dont know what to do cause its still not running and it has a new fuel filter and a new fuel pump too. And my dad thinks its a vacum sensor or something to do with that do you might have any other ideas for me

Hi Danny,

Ok, you say it runs fine in park, when you press the excellorator does it bog down or still run fine.

Have you checked the Cap and Rotor. In a lot of cases and my experience a worn cap and rotor will cause your problem.

Another posibility is the Torq Converter Lockup Selenoid stuck in lock.
