I have a GMC Envoy with 256,000 miles. I had the transmission replaced 2 years ago and about 3 months after it was replaced I started getting a hesitation in the engine when I was going 45mph. The rpm's will jump erratically. If I take my foot off the accelerator it will stop. If I press the accelerator to speed up it will go away. It does not occur when the engine is first started. It seems to occur after I have driven it for at least an hour interstate travel. Once it starts it always occurs between 45-55mph. I do notice that it seems to use a lot of gas when this happens.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pressure?

The check engine light has not come on. I have taken it to 3 different people who tell me that the suv has not errors on the computer.

I have not had the fuel pressure checked but will have it done.
