2001 GMC C2500 intermittent gauges

About a month ago my duramax battery light has never gone off on my cluster. Then other indicator lights began to alternate with battery light - low fuel (tank is full), security, airbag indicator, abs and now also temp gauge and speedo are intermittent. Took to shop they said "oh yeah seen this before you need new cluster" so did that at and problem still there the same. Tried to scan but truck would'nt let me in. Could this be body chassis module? Or what else?

I've diagnosis problem before it is not the cluster it's the engine computer which is located on the left side next to the radiator, you can find those online for about $100
