1998 GMC C1500 Fuel Pump

Can I replace my own fuel pump? I see some that cost $300 and a replacement pump at $70, of course I'd like to use the cheap one, what do you think? If I take it to a shop can you recommend one in the 33132 area?

Take the cheap one -get a professional tool sets-all it takes now is good common sense is to how to take it down tanks straps and other things like disconnecting the fuel pump harness etc -its easy a caveman can do it-
