Transmission problem
1997 GMC C1500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

vechicle was in a flood. Owner did not have the truck serviced after it was flooded. At first every thing worked fine. The truck got to where it would not go in reverse. I changed the fluid and strainer put in new fluid and trans conditioner. It work fine for two weeks' then the reverse problem came back. Changed strainer and fluid again it worked less than a week and now it will not go in any gear seclect lever will not move. Yes it did have water in the fluid

Those flood damage vehicles are hard to work with, let me ask you this, when you remove the filter from the transmission both times was the filter plugged up? Did you remove the output speed sensor on the rear cone and make sure it was clean? If the output speed sensor has malfunctioned the speedometer will not work and therefore the vehicle will not go into gear.
