my 1997 gmc sierra has lost oil presure, other than the oil pump what could it be and how easy is it to fix? Thanks in advance

If the gauge reads no pressure, make sure all the wires are connected -- otherwise it is probably the oil pump. The oil pump should be replaced by a new one. The removal of the oil pan is necessary to access the pump.
