My truck would not start, towed home checked it 2 days later and it fired right up. I pulled fuel line off in front of fuel filter, seem to be pumping find. Changed filter and drove again, did same thing, only this time I just put some fuel down the throttle bodies and it fired right up. Seems to run find had cruise set at 70 and it ran 25 miles down road and back, but it still will not not start on its own all the time. Any ideas what might be going on?

Gm used "pulse dampeners" ont hefuel pumps back then, when they go bad they will bypass pressure and create hard start problems like you describe. Bad part is that you haev to drop thetank to fix it.I would do a pump while in there due to mileage, 190 k is along time for a GM pump to last. The kit (A/C Delco) will come with a piece of hose to replace the dampener that is on top of the pump. It is an oval kind of shape and goes between the pump and the tank unit
