Fianlly got it to fire but and run, barely runs, I move distributor but gets no better, rough, someone said I need to unhook wire and set timing then plug back in, computer? What and where is wire. I might be a tooth off but cant move oil pump? I need help, tim ing light is broke but should be able to get to run by ear to get to town to set a garage

I'm not sure what wire they are refering to. However, when you put the distributor in @ TDC, it will be slightly ahead of #1 on the cap. Based on everything you mentioned, it sounds like you are a tooth off.

Just to confirm, turning the distributor makes no change?
