The 4-wheel drive is not working. The drive shaft part of it is going around. The fuse for the 4 wheel drive keeps blowing. I was wondering if you could tell me what to do to fix it? Thanks Gary

I have this problem with my 1995 gmc sierra. It jsut stopped working one day while e were drivin through a foot and a half of snow. I had to get towed home. It blows the fuse very time we shift into 4x4 and we cant figure out why. We thik it may be the switch on the transmission tough that got shorted out by all that slushy snow. We're going to try t replace that and see if it works.

I got mine fixed. It was the actuator. I guess it is a real common problem. It goes in the front axel. The way I understand it is there is a heating coil in there that heats the fluid up and pushes the actuator in to put it in 4-wheel drive. It cost me around 100.00 dollars for the actuator and I put it in myself. It is easy to do. It just srews in the front axle. GG
