Transmission problem
1992 Geo Tracker 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

My 92 geo trackers clutch has gone soft and I can only shift into gears when the car is off or at the exact moment (around2-3k rpm, ) when u can shift without using a clutch. Any ideas?

It is not a hydraulic clutch and I could not find any information on bleeding the clutch for this car. I saw a note in my service manual about setting the amount of play the clutch pedal has, could that be causing this problem? Thanks again.

I see -okay just follow the procedures on adjusting the clutch free play as indicated in the repair manual to include the pedal height.
