1995 Geo Prizm won't start

Hi, I have a 95 geo prizm and it won't crank over. It seems to be an electrical problem. The radio, gauges, wipers and turn signals don't work either. But when I pull the turn signal lever back to flash the lights and hold the everything will come on and the car will start and stay running. I've checked all the fuses while the lever is back and all work. Recently about 2 months ago the headlights stoped working, and I was told because of the switch in the lever.

Remove, clean the battery connections, both positive and negative, both on the battery and to the ground and to the starter.

Have the electrical system checked at any autoparts store (battery, starter, alternator, drain test), this is a free service.

If this problem started immediatley after the headlight switch was replaced, then it was installed wrong or the wrong switch was used.
