I have a 1994 Gep Prism and the battery light comes when I drive sometimes. Could this be a alternator problem?

Yes it could be. Most autoparts stores will check the alt. Free (on car). You can also check it with a multimeter, look for output between 13.5-14.1V.

If below 13V then the alt. Is bad and would need to be replaced.
