1994 Geo Prizm check engine light on code 12

Car runs well but check engine light came on a few days ago. I tried pulling ECM fuses but code came right back. What should I do next and can I still drive the vehicle. Also it is impossible to make a donation on your site. It keeps telling me "donation must be at least 2 dollars" it does not matter what sum greater than or equal to 2 dollars I enter.

Code 12 is normal if the engine is off and the key on. If it is running, then it is a problem with the computer not seeing a rpm signal either from the crank sensor or distributor.
You need a shop to verify and confirm and give you a bid.

You need to find out which part is at fault. It will not clear till the problem is fixed. Find a shop familiar with OBD1 systems to check this out for you.
