Transmission issue

I was going down the road at 45 in fourth gear when RPM's shot to 3,500/4,000 like it was in first gear. So I stopped pour some fluid poured some in waited a bit. On way home kinda side the same but this time with loss of power.
Reader says it has to do with transmission.

Hi,

Can you give me the actual code that you are getting? This sounds like limp in mode which is meant to protect the transmission so it doesn't have a catastrophic failure but let's follow what code we have and go from there. Thanks
