Transmission will not go into gears all but stays in first. Revs high up to 6,000 rpm's then goes into second rpm's go crazy. Flushed and hanged transmission fluid. Just replaced with solenoid kit all replaced. No change! Gears are moving great in the transmission while underneath watching them go. What am I missing?

Hi Ashley,

Unfortunately, this sounds like the transmission requires a rebuild. More than likely the clutch packs are leaking or you are losing pressure somewhere inside the unit which prevents the unit from shifting. If you already replaced the solenoid valves then more than likely it is inside the unit.

If you have a scan tool you can monitor the commanded vs actual gear and this will help confirm it. More than likely the transmission is being commanded to shift but it is not doing it. This is normally always a mechanical issue inside the unit.

If you can get a scan tool that monitors data let me know and we can go from there. Also, you may have some codes which will help confirm this.

Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks.
