I have the car listed above with an automatic transmission. I had to have my car towed and the doors were locked, and no key was left with the car. When the car was towed the gear shift line was disconnected and when it was dropped off, he didn't reconnect it. How do I reconnect it?

Hi,

I would be happy to help. I just need more info. First, what size engine is in the vehicle? Next, where is it disconnected? Also, if you could take a pic of where it's disconnected, it will help me determine which transmission you have. There are three possibilities.

I attached a pic below showing where it attaches to the transmission on a 4 cylinder just as an example with one of the three possible transmissions. If I got really lucky and If that is what you have, locate the cable and the shift lever on the transmission. Slide the cable connector over the shift lever. Then, you will need a c-clip to secure it in place. (Pic 2)

Let me know.

Joe
