Hi, I have these 3 codes come up in my car P0825, P0821 and P082B. The car drives fine no EML light on. My mechanic has changed the sensor he thought it may be but the codes are still there. Any ideas on what to do next?
Pictures are of the sensor that has been changed and the codes.
Thanks

I assume that part is the push-pull switch? I am attaching some info below about this code and it basically is pointing a switch issue but it could also be the wiring for this push pull switch. So has there been any drinks like a soda that were spilled on the shifter?

Basically we need to start with what the part number is of the part you are showing and then they are going to have to inspect the electrical connectors and make sure the ECM is getting signal from the switch.

We do not have a manual on this specific transmission because it is not offered here in the USA but I am sure we can work through this. Let us know and we can go from there. Thanks

Hi kasekenny, I don't think anything has been spilled in over the shifter. I'm attaching a picture of the part that has been changed as the mechanic I'm using thought it maybe that. Any help would be great.

Okay. That is the shift position sensor. In the USA we call that the transmission range sensor. The difference is this is on a manual transmission but that is not offered here so while it operates the same, it is not exactly the same. The idea is the same where we need to test the wiring from the transmission and sensor to the engine control module.

This code is saying that the ECM does not know what gear you are shifting into and it is most likely a wiring issue if the sensor did not fix it.

I am attaching the wiring for the USA version which will be similar to what you have.
