When I first start up my vehicle and let it idle the cab starts to smell like fuel not exhaust but straight fuel. When I start driving down the road the smell goes away but if I stop at a stop light the smell comes back. I don't have any check engine lights on. And my engine seems to be running fine. Just curious what could be causing the gas smell? I looked all around my engine and didn't find any leaks. Someone mentioned it could be my injector seals and I might have to replace my fuel injectors. I see I have to take off the throttle body to look and see if it's leaking there and that seems to be a huge pain in the butt before I go through that task. Do you have any recommendations of what or where I should be checking before I take off the throttle body to check the injectors?

Yes, this happens when a fuel injector starts to leak, you do need to remove the throttle body and intake manifold to get to them to check the fuel injectors. Here are the locations of the injectors so you can use a flashlight to inspect them for leakage once the intake has been removed. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems.

Can you send the schematics to remove the throttle body and the manifold? I have a pretty good idea of how it comes apart, but I would like to have the schematics too. You know just in case there's this random hidden bolt you can't find. LOL

No problem, the throttle body you can leave on the intake and take it off all in one piece. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
