Do I need the two fusible links, can I bypass one?

The one to the battery. Can I bypass conne tor is c fried?

Hi,

I attached a pic below showing where the power from them goes. I would not recommend eliminating either of them. If you look at the schematic below, one is for the wiring and because of spacing between the fuses/circuit breakers, the fusible link is used to protect against a short before the fuses.

The fusible link on the left, link C, goes to splice S207: Instrument Panel Harness, Right of Steering Column, Near Grommet. Again, that is the same.

If you have no way to replace the fusible link, make sure you at least place an inline fuse in the replacement wire as close to the battery as possible. Also, make sure to use a heavy enough gauge wire to handle the power needed.
