Funny noise coming from the driver's side tire?

Not sure what is going on, sounds like it’s coming from driver's side tire?
Car previously repaired on that side (side swiped on drivers' side on freeway).

Hi,

I tried going to the link and wasn't successful. See pic below for what I'm getting.

How would you best describe the noise? Is it a knocking, humming, growing, metallic, and so on type of sound? Does it change with vehicle speed? If it does, is there any change when turning or using the brakes?

Hey Joe! My apologies, the link works you just have to erase the blank space between the // and y. The noise is like a drum type of hum, and absent if I go slow (5-10mph?). It increases as I go faster. I feel like it sounds worse when I turn right and decreases when I turn left. I drove past a friend at 15-20mph who told me they can’t hear anything from the outside. Definitely not metal clinky.

I’m not sure exactly when it started but for sure in the last six months. I had the driver's front side tire replaced and it is new (6 months old anyway). Only potential damage was from hitting potholes after the heavy rain season.

Hi,

I certainly hear it. I have a stupid question. If you are stopped and rev the engine, do you hear anything? Also, do me a favor. It could be an issue with a wheel bearing or a CV joint.

First, safely lift one wheel off the ground at a time. Place your hands at 3 and 6 o'clock and try to wiggle the wheel. See if it feels loose or if it seems to make any noise. Next, place your hands at 6 and 12 o'clock and do the same.

If that is tight, then inspect the cv joint boots. See if any are torn and leaking grease. Here is a link that explains how one works. Additionally, it provides a pic of the axle with the joints and boots. At each end, you will find a rubber boot that can fail.

PS: Make sure you don't have a loose wheel as well.
