How much gas did you put in the tank? Do you hear the pump hum for one second when you turn on the ignition switch?

The two mistakes I've made in the past were having a supply and return hose switched, even though they were different sizes, and not putting in enough gas. The fuel pump pick-up screen sits in a bowl that stays filled with gas so it doesn't run away from that pick-up when you go around a corner. In my '88 Grand Caravan, when you put gas into the tank, it drops right into that bowl, so all it takes is a quart of gas to get the engine to run. On my '94 Grand Voyager, the gas misses that bowl and just goes into the rest of the tank. It takes a good five gallons before the gas spills over into that bowl and fills it, then the engine will start.

Then what happened? Do you hear the pump run for one second when you turn on the ignition switch? What was the original reason you replaced the pump?

When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds? Maybe the fuel is installed incorrectly here is a video to show you how.
