This is probably a quick connector on the fuel line. There is a special tool to get disconnect these connectors. You can get a set of them at any auto parts store for around $10.00 to $15.00. To disconnect you pull the two lines towards each other at the connector to take the pressure off of the connector. Then slide the tool in until it pushes the three clips holding the connector together up out of the way. The lines should then disconnect. Sometimes it takes a little force to get the lines apart because they are stuck in place, but they will come apart.
