I am attempting to use metal lines from fuel tank to filter. Will compression fittings take the pressure. There are three hoses one is pressure hose the others are return and breather. Can I use hose and clamps for them?

Good evening.

As I stated in your last post, you need the steel lines. Even though it is a return line there is still a good amount of pressure and you will be exposing yourself to a threat of a fire if it does not hold.

The breather line you can use the hoses and clamps as that is a vapor hose and has less than 5 lbs of pressure.

Hello, I am Danny.

I suppose compression fittings could work if tight enough. Most fuel systems are never higher than 70 P.S.I. If you are going to use rubber lines for the return and breather make sure to use fuel injection hose it has a higher P.S.I. Rating. If you plan on using hose clamps on them be sure to flare the metal ends it will help seal better. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Good afternoon.

The pressure is around 55 lbs.

No, hoses and clamps will not work. You need to replace the lines with original steel lines. It is a matter of safety that this is required.
