We put gas in the car and the dash showed 220 miles until empty. We drove the car 5 miles then it showed 185 miles to empty. Is it a possible gas leak, or something else

Thank you

THIS TECHNOLOGY IS NOT EXACTLY 100% DEAD ON

IT MAY GET YOU CLOSE AS IT GOES

BUT THIS "WIZARD" IS ALSO TAKING IN ACCOUNT HOW FAST YOU ARE CONSUMING FUEL VIA YOUR DRIVING HABITS. DESCENDING DOWN THE HIGHWAY FROM DENVER, CO MIGHT SHOW YOU CAN DRIVE FOREVER ON A TANK.

YOU COULD GO BACK TO THE SAME STATION, FILL UP, AND SWITCH DRIVERS AND YOUR "WIZARD" MIGHT TELL A DIFFERENT STORY

MOST OF THE TIME WHEN IT SAYS "GET OUT AND PUSH!" IT'S PROBABLY ACCURATE!

I RECKON IT'S THERE TO LET YOU KNOW IF YOU CAN LIMP INTO THE NEXT GAS STATION.

SINCE I'VE BEEN DRIVING, THAT SWEEPING RED NEEDLE, GETTING CLOSE TO THE "E" KINDA HAD THE SAME AFFECT TO MY GENERATION!

HECK, I DON'T WORRY ABOUT RUNNING OUT IN EITHER OF MY JEEPS, IF I DO, THE MECHANICAL FUEL PUMPS WILL NOT BE DAMAGED, I'VE GOT 5 GALLONS ON THE BACK (ABOUT 90 OR SO MILES WORTH). IT "COULD" ALSO AVAILABLE TO BE USED BY THE FELLER WHO DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE NEXT STATION.
