One day I went to gas and noticed a puddle underneath my car. A fuel leak I looked underneath, and I saw where exactly it was leaking from, I just have been too busy to take it in the shop for diagnosis. So, today I was trying to get this part name and if I can replace this part by itself or do I need an entirely new gas tank?

Hello,

Is the fuel leaking from the white part? Look at the picture below, I circled it.

If that is the case, then you will need a new fuel tank as that looks like someone tried to repair the tank.

I have attached the fuel tank replacement procedure below for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Yes, that’s where it’s leaking from. I tried to put some sealant there it’s easily detachable it’s like glue.

For the most part it is not possible to seal the fuel tank as the fuel is corrosive and goes through the sealant, also depends on the size of the leak/crack. For example, if it got hit by a rock and created a hole, it would be difficult to seal.

The best course of action would be to replace the tank.
