I would like to know where the fuel filter is so I can change it. I have called 2 different places and get different responses. One place told me the fuel filter was in the gas tank. The other place said that the fuel filter was in the fuel pump so the only way to replace is was to replace the fuel pump because its all one part. I am confused since in my maintenance hand book it says I should replace the fuel filter. It mentions nothing else.

Technically they are both correct. The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump module and is in the fuel tank.

I am attaching the info below on how to replace this.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

Kia does call for this to be replaced at 75,000 miles which is why they have an access panel under the rear seat otherwise you would have to drop the tank to replace it.

Please run through this info and let me know what questions you have. Thanks

The rear seat cushion is the seat in the back, right? And do you happen to have a diagram to show how to remove that too?

That is correct. The rear cushion is the lower seat cushion in the back seat. Basically, the cushion that you sit on in the rear.

I am attaching the info below from the manual on this.

Thanks for asking this question.
