My husband's car would not start. It is getting spark, but does not seem to be getting fuel. We cannot seem to locate the fuel filter? Or find a manual for it either?

A much better suspect is to determine if the fuel pump is running. The filter will not suddenly become so clogged as to cause a crank/no-start condition. You may be able to hear the hum of the fuel pump by the gas tank. It should run for about one second right after the ignition switch is turned on.
