Poor fuel economy

Hi R4HEM,

There are many things that cause poor fuel mileage but on a vehicle this new most of those will not apply. This vehicle looks like it is rated in the high 30 MPGs. Is that correct?

If so and you are only getting 20 I would suggest planning on having the vehicle checked by the dealer because you are obviously still under warranty.

Last thing is if your vehicle is equipped with ECO pro? If so, this mile per gallon in the high thieves is most definitely achieved using this setting. Also, if you are currently using sport mode or sport + (if yours is equipped) then this would explain why yours is so much lower. Sport mode gives very aggressive shift points and will seriously cut your fuel mileage even if you are not driving fast. Hard acceleration from stop lights or aggressive driving without speeding will effect it
