Will not start after replacing fuel pump and code 42

Replaced the fuel pump but now fuel gauge won't move at all. It won't start even if I put fuel straight in the carburetor. It show code 42 which is auto shut down. If the fuel gauge isn't coming on but that keep the engine from starting.

Good afternoon,

The most common cause for this is the ECM itself as it controls the ASD.

I attached a test chart and diagram for you to view.

Okay, now the check engine light and the shift indicator light stay lit up. I can no longer check for fault codes is this another sign of a bad ECM. Thank you for your time and advice it's greatly appreciated.
