Front wheels will not turn?

My truck was driving fine until I pulled on a side street and went to park it. I realize when turning it was getting hard to turn. Now my front tires will not turn. I got it to turn right but wont turn left.

This is not uncommon when the steering gear fails. What I would do is lift the front end so there is no load on the tires and turn back and forth and make sure there is no binding in the steering links from the gear all the way to the tie rods.

If nothing is binding then I would replace the gear.
