I need guidance changing the front wheel bearings on the truck listed above it is a 2500. I am looking specifically for: procedures, torque values, and diagrams so I can replace the front wheel bearings. Especially the torque of the three bolts to mount the bearing. I also understand they may have lock-tight on them? Any detailed procedures will help along with any tips. Thank you

Hi Joe thanks. I was wondering the torque of the caliper to caliper bracket and also anything related to installation of pads and brake hardware on the front end. I finished the passenger side today as far as the bearing and brakes but I could not wait for torque specs. So now I want to do the driver side more accurately as far as caliper mounting etc also.

Hi, not a problem. Here are the directions for replacing brake pads and caliper (if needed). The torque specs for the caliper to mounting bracket are listed. In the directions, the slid pin bolts are what attach the two, so use that spec. If you look at the second picture, it is related to the brake hardware or anti rattle clips. I hope this is what you needed.

REMOVAL - FRONT

CAUTION: Never allow the disc brake caliper to hang from the brake hose. Damage to the brake hose with result. Provide a suitable support to hang the caliper securely.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
Compress the disc brake caliper.
Remove the banjo bolt and discard the copper washer.
Remove the caliper slide pin bolts.
Remove the disc brake caliper.
INSTALLATION - FRONT

NOTE: Install a new copper washers on the banjo bolt when installing

Install the disc brake caliper.
CAUTION: Verify brake hose is not twisted or kinked before tightening fitting bolt.

Install the banjo bolt with new copper washers to the caliper. Tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. Lbs. )
Install the caliper slide pin bolts tighten to 32 Nm (24 ft. Lbs.)
Bleed the base brake system.
Install the tire and wheel assembly.
Lower the vehicle.

Let me know if this is what was needed. If it is not, I will get it for you.

Take care,
Joe
