Front brakes lock up

Hi, my vehicle is a Toyota Conquest. When I drive my car feel brake pedal getting hard the more I brake the more pedal so hard that car will not move due to locked up brakes. Can you give me advice please?

Hello,

Yes, this is a common problem it means the master cylinder push rod is adjusted out too far cause the master to not fully release and building pressure in the system. To confirm this is the problem loosen the master cylinder mounting bolts three turns and the brake should release. If so, remove the master or just move it forward and adjust the rod inward about an 1/8 inch or 3mm.

When the front brakes lock up can you loosen the nuts that mount the master cylinder to see if the front wheels start rolling again? If not you need to replace the brake flex hoses.
