I have a '95 Ford Ranger with manual locking hubs. I suspect that the previous owner put in the wrong spindle locknut kit. Due to this, the thrust washers have been completely obliterated, along with some of the locknut kit.

I have found some Dana Spicer locknut kit that I think is appropriate for my car. Dana Spicer 28068X Spindle Locknut Kit. However, from my research online I think I need the thrust washer kit. This thrust washer kit is 3 washers, one is a 27 spline washer.

I want to make sure I have the right spindle locknut kit, and also what the OEM part number for the thrust washer kit is. I can't find the thrust washer kit anywhere. Perhaps there is an aftermarket one that is readily available?

I have the new rotors, bearings, and brake pads all from my local O'Reilly store.

The Dana Spicer 28068X Spindle Locknut Kit. Is not the one you want, here is the correct kit need to do the repair.

For manual hubs on a Dana 28/35 IFS, the OE-style stack is:

Inner adjusting nut (with pin): Spicer 74078X

Locking washer (hole ring): Spicer 36569

Outer lock nut: Spicer 43749
You can buy these individually or as a bundled kit (e.G, Torque King QA4769 for Dana 28/35 IFS).

Let us know if you need anything else.
