I removed my front wheel knuckle and tested the ABS wheel sensor with a digital ohm meter and got a reading of 5.25 Meg ohms. According to info I found on the net, it is supposed to read no more than 2 k ohms. I purchased a new one and its resistance is 10 Meg ohms. I was unable to find any information regarding a proper reading for the vehicle. Would you know the correct range? Sincerely, Paul

Those sensors are a magnetic hall effect design, a resistance reading would be meaningless in telling if they worked because of the way the circuitry inside the sensor is made. It uses the voltage supplied to turn on and off as the poles on the reluctor ring pass and the ABS unit sees the current changes as a square wave signal and calculates the wheel speed from that. The only real ways to test them is to use either a scan tool and verify that all 4 sensors are reading the same speeds or to use an oscilloscope to read the signal output while back probing the wires in the connector to see if you are getting a clean square wave signal as the tone ring on the bearing passes the sensor. That is probably why you don't find any readings online. Now for a simple coil design that generates a variable voltage and frequency AC since wave a resistance value can at least show if the sensor is shorted or open and a resistance reading can show the coil status if you know a good value. In the case of a hall effect, it just tells you if the wires to the sensor are broken.
What is the issue you are having? ABS light on? Any codes?
