Engine Performance problem
2002 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Transmission shifts fine.
Check engine light does not come on.

Vehicle stutters, especially when it goes into high gear and I am accelerating.
It has no power going up hills.

Problem seems to be most pronounced when I shift into high gear, am doing 1500 rpms and accelerating.

I already:
Changed gas filter.
Changed 3 plugs in the front (which were not that bad).
Air intake clean.

Any ideas?

TIA

Guy

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.

Head over to your local NAPA auto parts and buy this little red tube called Shutter Fixx pull the tranny dipstick and pour it in. Problem solved. You torque converter is the issue the thrust bearings are sticking to the plates causing it to shutter when it shifts especially into overdrive. My 02 did it for a long time, I added a tube of this and no problems in over a year so far. Good luck
