Air Conditioning problem
2005 Ford Truck 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

turned on a/c a few weeks back and no cold air would come out at all. Plenty of air, but not cold.
took the motorhome to a rv repair shop and they said:
Cause: low on freon, add 1 lb. Started to cool to 44 degrees. As it warmed up A/C temp dropped. Correction: Diag. Compressor and dryer are needed.

I brought motorhome back home and a/c put out constant 51 degree air for over an hour (74 degree outside temperature).

Do you feel the compressor is bad?

I would have to see the pressures the compressor is putting out to judge that. If the a/c is not set on "max" then it is cooling outside air, if the ambient temp goes up the a/c temp will possibly go up as well. Depending on what type of orifice it has this could be an expansion block problem too. It would be necessary to see the pressures to make a call on what it is
