I accelerated hard and noticed white smoke coming from the engine. I parked the car and opened the hood to find coolant on the top back side of the engine near the firewall. It appears that is it is predominantly on the passengers side. I do not have any visible liquids or smoke coming from the exhaust and the car is not over heating or displaying any manintenance lights. What could be the cause of the leak?

Sounds like the area of the heater core/ control valve area. Either pressure test it and look for the leak, or make sure the coolant is full and look in that area. May need to move some hoses, flexing them to see if it exposes them.
