both the outside door handle, and the inside door handle on the driver side are broken, and concerning the outside, completely gone. I need to get the car door open in order to remove door panel to repair. I can loosen top of door panel for access, but cannot figure out what I need to do to open the door. Can anyone please help.

There are a few screws and several clips that hold the panel in place. You need to remove it (not fun with the door closed) to inspect the linkage. Either it is broken or has come disconnected.

Let me know what you find.
