1994 Ford Thunderbird odometer

The problem you are having is a fairly common issue with the 90's Tbirds. The main problem is that Ford went as cheap as possible on some of the parts. The part in question is just a simple plastic cog /gear. The only way short of having someone do it for you is to pull the gauge cluster and replace it. There are 4 screws that hold this in there isnt a need to physically remove the entire dash. The top of the steering column however will need to be removed to make things go alot smoother.
