Hello, I have a 1987 T-bird, and just put new timing chain on. But the car shakes from the engine not running corretly. It's not the timing though, it is correct I checked it a few times. I have to pump the gas to make it start, then while it's running it like it "hiccups" constansly and runs very rough, but will stay running. I haven't even attempted to take it around the block, im very positive that it would be very slugish. So please I need some help on how to fix this problem, I have to have my car running.

Thanks,
Troy K.

Engine running rough or misfiring can be cause by the following:

1. Defective spark plug
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Idle air control valve.
